Join us at Mapbox, Bengaluru to celebrate the International Open Access Week next week along with other open data enthusiasts in town. On 20th October we are hosting a Missing Maps event to collaboratively map parts of the Democratic Republic of Congo. DRC is notorious for unceasing humanitarian crises and these maps will be directly used by relief agencies to effectively manage disease outbreaks and natural risks. Our team of expert mappers will guide you with the OpenStreetMap tools by which we can make a real difference to people on the ground.
We are also showcasing a collection of projects by data activists from India using open and liberated data. The data art gallery will open after the missing maps event on Tuesday and will be available for general viewing through the week. Spread the word and see you soon!
