We’re delighted to welcome Andrew Pendleton to Mapbox. Andrew will be working on our geocoder, helping to improve both its core technology and the data that it relies upon.
Andrew comes to us by way of the Sunlight Foundation, where he built large databases like Influence Explorer and text analysis systems like Docket Wrench. That experience–working with large custom datasets and gnarly text analysis problems–will be hugely valuable as we make our geocoder smarter and more powerful. And it doesn’t hurt that he knows & loves open data.
