CarPlay is now supported by default in our Navigation SDK, meaning any app using our SDK connects directly to the dashboard of all CarPlay-enabled cars. This is part of Apple’s iOS 12 release coming Monday, which unlocks the infotainment screen of 40 million CarPlay-enabled vehicles across 50 brands for third-party apps.
Our Navigation SDK allows apps to add turn-by-turn navigation and project it directly into any CarPlay-enabled infotainment screen. Pair these large touch-enabled screens with real-time traffic, daytime/nighttime optimized styles, turn-by-turn navigation in 23 languages, and customized instructions.
Carmakers’ companion apps and professional driver apps in last mile and ride-hailing benefit from CarPlay opening up to third-party apps, offering safer, personalized navigation through a more integrated experience.
