We’ve just released the Android Store Locator Kit, a plug-and-play solution that cuts down on the set-up and development time needed to add a beautiful store locator into your app. Download the kit, and you’re ready to integrate this map into any Android application in less than an afternoon.
Use the Kit to create a store locator that allows your users to browse several locations, view additional information, and preview the distance and route to the store. Not building for a store owner or a retailer? The project also works to locate anything from bike share hubs to ATMs to neighborhood parks.
This Kit ships with all the necessary files for a functional Android Studio app. We’ve included five starter themes, a step-by-step tutorial, and a sample GeoJSON dataset to make it easy to add in your own locations too. Want to customize it even further? Use Mapbox Studio to create your own map, modify the UI in the project, or add custom makers that match your brand or other specific needs.
Download the new Android Store Locator Kit to get started. Want to show off what you’re building? Join in our #weekendmaphack on Twitter to show off how you’re using the Kit!
P.S. — Stay tuned, this is the first of several plug-and-play Kits we’re planning on releasing for iOS and Android developers — if you have suggestions or questions hit me up on Twitter.
