We’ve partnered with the Qt Company to bring Mapbox maps to Qt and the Qt Automotive Suite. The latest Qt 5.9 version now ships with vector-based maps and APIs for navigation, customized design and the ability to layer in your own data. This makes fast, GL rendered maps available to a host of embedded and automotive use cases.
Unlike the existing raster maps supported by Qt, Mapbox maps render at high frame rate natively in-device. This allows for fluid transitions, tilted maps for navigation, dynamic label placement, and 3D extrusions for modeling buildings and more. Maps are fully cross platform. Use Mapbox Studio to create your custom design and deploy it to Qt and also to Android, iOS, and the web to power seamless experiences across devices.
