Tableau just announced full Mapbox integration to an audience of more than 10,000 at the Tableau Conference (#data15) keynote in Las Vegas. You can now build Tableau visualizations on Mapbox’s streets, terrain, and satellite basemaps or any custom map designed with Mapbox Studio Classic.
Whether you’re a seasoned web cartographer or just starting to give your data geo context, we’ve got partners to help with your Tableau + Mapbox implementation.
We’ve teamed up with Slalom Consulting, where Chris Toomey and Tableau Zen Master Allan Walker are working with the Tableau Foundation to build new maps for the World Health Organization. We’re getting cozy with Datablick and Zen Master Anya A'Hearn, whose San Francisco Giants map was featured in today’s keynote. And we’re working closely with Craig Bloodworth at The Information Lab, who’s building Tableau connectors for our geocoding and directions APIs.
San Francisco crime data visualization by Zen Masters Anya A'Hearn, Jeff Shaffer, and Allan Walker.
Track down Anya, Allan, Chris, Craig, or me at #data15 to talk about how Mapbox partners can help supercharge your Tableau implementation. And be sure to check out Anya and Allan’s #data15 session titled Mapbox Fabulousness in Tableau: Lessons from a Zen Master.
