Mapbox arrives tomorrow in Minneapolis for the annual meeting of the North American Cartographic Information Society (NACIS)! We are there to meet and share tips with fellow cartographers, but we’ll also be giving a number of talks you should check out.
On Wednesday at 10:30, Amy Lee will give a presentation on principles and practices of great map design when she presents “Designer as Cartographer” during the Practical Cartography Day.
As a part of Thursday’s 9am “Rethinking Web Cartography” session, Peter will be delving into the world and new medium of interactive maps.
On Friday 2pm, Lyzi will sit on a panel addressing the current state of geographic education.
Nicki will help close out the week with a talk on Friday 4pm entitled “Dynamic Cartography for a GL World,” as part of the Mapping Change session.
AJ Ashton and I will also be there to support our colleagues and dole out geohugs; make sure to stop us and say hello!
See you there!
