Now every Landsat scene passing through our image processing pipeline generates a vector tile footprint with metadata of the scene ID, when the image was captured, and when it was processed.
The pipeline processes an average of 450 new Landsat scenes a day, with more than 14,000 processed in the last few months. Vector metadata streams to the mapbox.landsat-live-vt
map ID, while imagery goes to the mapbox.landsat-live
map ID. The imagery layer can be used directly in your Mapbox.js applications, while the vector tile layer can be queried directly using the Surface API and styled in Mapbox Studio. Here is a look at what the new vector tiles look like:
