When you open Mapbox Studio today, you’ll notice it looks a little different. We just released the biggest refactor since launching Mapbox Studio two years ago. Take a look as Amy Lee walks you through the changes:
The most exciting updates in this release are behind the scenes. The redesign speeds up Studio, streamlines its current functionality, removes redundant features, and gives you new ways to preview layers. It also pays off design, product, and engineering debt in order to prepare Studio for other big changes in the coming months.
Our Studio team has been conducting interviews and surveys to identify how we can improve the overall user experience. Building on the feedback we’ve received, we’re doing two things. First, we’re revisiting some of Studio’s core interactions (like organizing styles and selecting layers) in order to make them more intuitive and speedy. Second, we’re introducing new features that enable more control over the map than ever. Stay tuned for the details as we get closer to releasing the next Studio update.
