Let’s get together and talk location, AR and Unity. This week we’ll be at the Virtual Reality Developer’s Conference (VRDC) in San Francisco and in two weeks at Unity’s annual user conference, Unite Austin. To wrap up the tour, we’ll be hosting a workshop at VR hackathon: Reality, Virtually in Cambridge, MA.
Our focus is on providing developers with the real world map data and tools needed to create immersive game experiences and augmented reality applications. In my talks, I’ll explain step-by-step how to use our Maps for Unity SDK and open source ARKit library to create AR-enabled applications that go from small, room scale experiences to large environments that span the size of the world.
Here’s a sneak peek at one of the AR apps you’ll be able to build with Mapbox, Unity, and ARKit after attending these talks:
Check out my first talk, at VRDC on Thursday, September 21 at 2pm in Continental 3, Ballroom Level, Tower 3. Or send me an email to set up a meeting at our Booth, #108, in the Partners Lounge, located in the Continental Ballroom.
Here’s some more examples of how our SDK gives you complete control over every layer in the map, allowing you to create custom scenes using real world data to generate game content:
I’m excited to learn more about what you’re building and how we can help. Keep up with all the events we’re attending at mapbox.com/events and share your projects with us on Twitter with the tag #BuiltWithMapbox.
