Hivemapper, a platform for 3D analysis and object-oriented drone surveying, is taking video captured by drones and turning it into 2D and 3D maps. The result is real-time, actionable intelligence for businesses, governments, and drone enthusiasts.
Hivemapper uses our vector map tiles to deliver fast, custom-styled maps. They’ve integrated street, building, and terrain data to produce smooth 2D and 3D visualizations, allowing users to survey the landscape and dynamically update their maps to show changes over time.
You can use Hivemapper to plan your next drone flight and find the best route before taking off. For example, after putting in the elevation of your flight, any buildings or obstacles will be highlighted in red.
Hivemapper brings buildings to life by using 3D extrusions and dynamically changes the color of any obstacles using data-driven styling; below, you can see buildings in SF over 400ft are highlighted for the pilot.
Hivemapper also offers an on-premise solution for customers who want to bring the power of drone mapping into their own infrastructure. This capability is powered by Atlas, our super fast map server that can be deployed in a secure private network, even behind a firewall or offline.
