We're excited to announce that Vladimir Agafonkin, the creator of Leaflet and lots of other great open-source mapping tools, has joined MapBox. Ever since we switched MapBox.js to Leaflet, we've been collaborating with Vladimir and become big fans of his work.
Vladimir has been involved in open source and OpenStreetMap for several years and has worked on everything from vector rendering to map editing and algorithmic challenges. He will be helping us build the future of interactive mapping tools, as well as maintaining Leaflet. In his free time, he's also the frontman of the excellent band Obiymy Doschu.
