Gruntify makes managing fieldworkers easier with its cloud platform and enterprise mapping service. Incident management, unplanned maintenance, inspections, surveys, and audits all happen somewhere. In order to provide its users with real-time, location awareness, Gruntify developed a unique, cross-platform experience using the Mapbox stack.

Recently, Gruntify switched to our vector tiles, making it possible to serve large maps rapidly, all with full design flexibility. This allowed them to create custom, country-wide maps for Australia and United States, at county, state, and federal government levels. When they battle tested the maps in Australia during Cyclone Debbie in April 2017, they found a 600% increase in speed/performance.

Gruntify has also customized our Streets style and added full support for offline raster maps. Unlimited access to maps is a critical feature when supporting field teams in remote locations where network connectivity is unreliable.

On mobile, Gruntify uses our data visualization tools to display 3D buildings in Melbourne, New York, and San Francisco on iOS and Android devices. Their customers can import a building footprint layer and pull the buildings into 3D by using a single property — number of floors. The buildings can also be styled based on other properties in the data. For example, height-dependent coloring makes it so users can easily identify sky scrapers from low rise buildings.

It’s been exciting for us to see unique ways that our tools can enhance the user experience for a platform like Gruntify, where location data is so critical to their business. Interested in how we can add to your experience? Contact our sales team.
