We’re in Denver on August 17th, and we’ll be hosting a meetup at Rhein Haus to talk through maps, share engineering best practices, and enjoy some drinks together. Join us!
Mapbox is the location data platform for mobile and web applications. We provide building blocks to add location features like maps, search, and navigation into any experience you create. Every day, we collect over 200 million miles of anonymized data from mobile phones and use it to live map the world. We process the probe data on AWS and use it to find new streets, identify one-ways, and power traffic in 58 countries that updates in real-time.
We’ll discuss a few topics, including:
- Map design — The presentation will show off our latest traffic map design, sharing our cartographic approach to designing live data.
- Mobile apps — Building apps with embedded navigation, Unity, and ARKit
- AWS architecture — A walkthrough of the architecture that processes 25 billion points per day and 220 million miles into a real-time map with traffic.
We’re looking forward to meeting you. To join us, RSVP here: https://mapboxindenver.splashthat.com
