The strength of OpenStreetMap is in the relationships — both online and in person. State of the Map conferences celebrate the essence of these communities that are so integral to OpenStreetMap. We love being a part of this community and cannot wait to connect with new and familiar friends around the globe at the many OpenStreetMap events happening this year.
Take a look at the very full calendar for this year:
- State of the Map France, happened in Avignon, France from June 2nd — June 4th. The videos from the conference are online!
- State of the Map, Africa, the first event for all African mappers and OpenStreetMap users, happens in Kampala, Uganda from July 8th — July 10th
- State of the Map, the global OpenStreetMap gathering in Fukushima, Japan from August 18th — August 20th
- Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team Summit takes place in Ottawa, Canada on September 14 & 15. Proposals for talks are accepted until July 14
- State of the Map Asia is in Kathmandu, Nepal from September 23rd — September 24th
- State of the Map US, the annual US community conference in Boulder, Colorado from October 19th — October 22nd. Get your talk proposals in before July 31!
- FOSS4G and State of the Map Argentina, in Buenos Aires, Argentina from October 23rd — October 28th
- State of the Map Latin America, regional conference in Lima, Peru from November 29th to December 2nd
